A leading tax advisory firm is looking for CAs for their UAE Corporate Direct Tax team to be based in Abu Dhabi.
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Tax Compliance:
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of corporate tax returns in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, advising management on potential impact and implementing necessary adjustments.
- Tax Planning:
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the company’s tax position.
- Provide guidance on the tax implications of various business transactions, such as mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
- Financial Reporting:
- Collaborate with finance teams to accurately reflect tax provisions in financial statements.
- Prepare and review tax disclosures for financial reporting purposes.
- Audit Support:
- Coordinate and manage tax audits, responding to inquiries from tax authorities.
- Work closely with external auditors to provide necessary documentation and explanations related to tax matters.
- Transfer Pricing:
- Manage transfer pricing policies and documentation to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Analyze and document intercompany transactions to support transfer pricing positions.
- Tax Strategy Development:
- Formulate and execute tax strategies aligned with the company’s overall business goals.
- Provide recommendations to optimize the company’s overall tax position.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate tax risks, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Stay informed about changes in tax legislation and assess their potential impact on the organization.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance the team’s knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
- Advanced degree in taxation or related field is a plus.
